Users are removed from usergroups when they login. 1 week 1 day ago #8121

Greeting, I need help with a little issue I'm having with my site and JomClassifieds.

First I noticed that any user gets removed from all usergroups with the exception of "Registered", when they login or visit any page. After spending some time looking for a solution, I found this StackExchange entry:
joomla.stackexchange.com/questions/26229...ly-on-log-in-log-out

Quoting the creator of the entry: " Turns out, it was the JomClassifieds plugin which was responsible. It checked if the user had any memberships and removed it out from all groups (except the registered one) if it didn't"

I made some tests and I can confirm that adding a user to a membership prevents this issue but this causes a problem with the site and the way it is built.

My site makes use of two main usergroups to display specific content. The first one is called "Usuario", this one is for the final user that visit the site and contact the advertiser, it is also the default group for registered users, All users in this group won't be creating new ads or buying memeberships and they will use the default Joomla form for the registration process.

The second one is "Proveedor", this group is for the advertisers. All users of this group will be created from the backend but they can create and manage their ads in the frontend of the site. Also, they will be able to buy memberships or promote ads.

Because JomClassifieds is removing users from their respective usergroups, they are having troubles to navigate the site since some menus, modules and content are being blocked for them.

Since the "Registered" usegroup is spared, How can I add "Usuario" to this exception list so I can solve this issue.

Thank you! It seems that the issue was resolved. But I have a doubt, Is this fix going to be deleted if I update the component? If so, is it possible to share me what files did you changed?
