Just testing latest JomClassifeds on our DEV server... finding FREE user has default 10 ads possible.

But on posting "11th" ad, a second Membership is created automatically!

How to restrict the member from posting no more than the maximum ads? (all 12 ads posted today)

So you need to allow your users to post 10 free ads and after that they should purchase paid membership. correct? If yes then please set Repeat always : No to your free membership and also enable your paid membership. If your all paid memberships are disabled, then you can't post ads after Free membership expired.

Thanks.

No, actually, we want free users to be able to post a limited number of ads ( probably 3) which run for say 30 days.
They should always be able to post their ads, but never have more than three ads running at at time. Once they have three ads running, they cannot post any more until one of their existing ads has expired or been removed
(Free membership should be perpetual, but quite limited in the number of ads that can be run concurrently!)

The PAID customers will be able to run up to twenty ads concurrently, and their ads will run for 90 days.
Their membership is not perpetual, they will need to pay every year to get the extra priveliges...

Maybe we should set the Free membership to "Membership lifetime 0" (unlimited days) - and give 3 adverts with 30 days advert lifetime? And then set "repeat always" OFF?

Would this effectively limit Free users to having no more than three ads posted at any given time, while never expiring the membership?

Hi,

- Currently if you set 3 ads with 30 days, the users can post only 3 ads. They can't post another ad after one of the three ads expired. If you need this feature, please contact our customization team at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .

Was this change or feature request ever submitted? The Membership function of this component is very limited; particularly the FREE membership type.
